Yoanna's artistic practice is characterized by ethereality, plasticity, and contrast.

Her paintings feature figures, animals, and landscapes, constructed through a play between light and dark, light and dense, soft and structured. Through these opposites, she seeks the feeling of the multi-layeredness of the world and the coexistence of different emotional states.

She works primarily with oil painting, which allows her to build depth and complex pictorial layers. She also uses acrylics, inks, and structural materials, through which she creates a dialogue between transparent, ethereal surfaces and denser pictorial matter.

She graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Veliko Tarnovo "St. Cyril and Methodius". In her work, she strives to capture the light and atmosphere of nature and translate them into an image and a picturesque experience.
