
Donika Koeva
Donika (b. 1989) is a Bulgarian artist based in Bansko since 2025. She works in the field of painting and actively experiments with different mediums and visual approaches. Her creative practice is intuitive and process-oriented, exploring themes related to nature, awareness and the relationship between man and the environment in which he lives. In her work, she seeks the intersection between the external landscape and the inner world.


Donika graduated from the Master's program "Painting" at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia (in the class of Prof. Andrey Daniel) and the Bachelor's degree "Design for Children's Environments". She participated in an Erasmus exchange at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Brescia, Italy.
She works with acrylic, oil, watercolor, and digital painting, with the variety of styles and techniques being an essential part of her artistic language.
She has participated in group exhibitions, an art residency in Berlin, and the international project Indigenous Encounters and Cartographies of Kinship, focused on themes of belonging and cultural memory.
